These elegant open hoop style earrings have a gorgeous combination of gemstones in soft pastel shades.
The open hoop frames are hand-formed out of 20 gauge, 14k rose gold fill wire. 20 gauge is the standard gauge for most earrings. I have lightly hammered them for strength and style.
The rows of tiny gemstones are securely wire wrapped onto the frames in a basket weave style with fine 14k rose gold fill wire. From top to bottom they are; peridot, Ethiopian opal, amazonite, fresh water pearls, and rhodochrosite.
Size: about 1 3/8" long.
Your jewelry will be packaged in a small Brenda McGowan Jewelry box with silver organza bow, ready for gift giving. Multiple items will be combined in one box, unless separate boxes are requested.
WHAT IS GOLD FILLED?
14kt gold filled is a layer of solid 14kt gold (gold alloy) bonded to a jeweler's brass core.
Gold filled is not to be confused with gold plating - Gold-filled jewelry has 100x more gold alloy than gold plated and because that layer is so much thicker, it means gold-filled jewelry lasts longer and stands up to wear and tear better than gold plated.
